I made up voices and crazy hand movements while reading this book. My daughter thought it was hilarious so we read it a few times. then she attempted to read it too. Super cute.

Disclaimer: I absolutely believed that if you ate a watermelon seed, a watermelon would grow in your belly. Just like our poor protagonist, who LOVES watermelon and slightly freaks when he accidentally swallows a seed.

Adorable and really fun to read out loud. Lots to talk about, but simple pictures that are engaging for super little ones on the first read. Not an Iris favorite yet, but I suspect it'll have its turn.
Really lends itself to an animated read aloud experience.
