I have such mixed feelings about this book. I listened to it on a road trip home and have a bunch of chaotic notes on my phone.
I really wanted Sloane to actually have a backbone, but she just acted selfishly and impulsively throughout the entire book.
Dorian was a secret soft boi and also so full of absolutely atrocious toxic masculinity. It was literally like Jekyll and Hyde.
I liked the plot itself, I want to know more about this secret society and the character reveal at the end. But absolute whiplash going back and forth between two very accurately written bratty teenagers.

I don’t under how someone recommended this as ‘adult cruel prince’ - do not insult the folk of the air series like that. I was lied to. Also, just really didn’t like the writing. It felt like an adult trying super hard to sound like a teenager ugh. After all that, I checked the reviews and it’s just not for me.
