god this book was the most boring frustrating pos ever. sloane had no personality and barely ever showed her “badass” side that she’s supposed to have, dorian basically sexually assaults her and the rest of the characters were just as bland or just as terrible. not even worth writing a review for

These high school bully romances are like catnip - just so fucking entertaining.

Mostly, I gotta wonder if any of the Legacies even sat down for a second and thought “this new chick knows nothing about this town and just happened upon a mugging and acted in defence of the victim, maybe we shouldn’t psychologically torture her for just being a good person?” or did they just assume she was all knowing and was PURPOSELY protecting a pedophile? Because damn, that’s a HUGE assumption.

This is a late at night bookstagram rec.
Well, that was bad bad and bad
The ML sexually assault the FL and then it is love
+ the descriptions of the boys. I visualised young Hagrid on steroid meet Frankestein’s monster

The FMC was too whiney and I was finding myself being more annoyed with her than being able to empathize

This is definitely not your average high school romance series. There's so much tension and mystery going on between Sloane and the Legacy guys. Sloane has no idea why Dorian and the other Legacy guys hate her so much when she first meets them - she doesn't know them, so what could she have done? We later find out through the dual POV Dorian's side of why Sloane is in the way of the secrets and plans that these guys have.

The tension and steam between Dorian and Sloane is such a push and pull, but thankfully we see a heroine that doesn't put up with being treated like dirt. This series starts with a bang and we're left off wondering even more about Dorian than before. Can't wait for more in book 2!

I got this book off the tiktok shop and I'd like to say I really enjoyed it. The only part I disliked (SPOILER) was there wasn't really any measure of consent when Dorian claimed Sloane on during their sexual conquests. I feel like just a look isn't sufficient enough. But I've already bought the sequel and am looking forward to reading it. Thank you Eden for the delicious read!
