A cute and a delightful read. I didn't expect much of this book because I haven't read the Little Women just yet. Nevertheless, the book kept me fascinated until the end.

I loved this modern adaptation of Little Women! In this version, the March sisters are middle school and high school girls, Jo joins the newspaper club at school and gets her first crush - on a girl. I loved that the family is depicted as clearly middle class with the girls all sharing rooms and Marmee working long hours as a pediatric nurse. When Jo comes out to Marmee and then her sisters, she's met with complete acceptance and love.

3 stars it was meh (not really bad or outstanding/super good) especially in comparison to little women from what i’ve read of it and the movie. i didn’t like the art style that much, i just really liked the lgbt rep. it was a cute graphic novel, and it didn’t have much to it. i wish there was more to the story - like jo’s relationship with freddie.

A queer modern reimagining of the Little Women story I love so much.
