I really enjoyed this but think I would’ve LOVED it if I read a physical copy. This is the first book I tried to listen on an audiobook and that was a huge mistake /: there are too many essays with numbered lists that I think would’ve been easier to follow along visually!

But overall the content of the book is really interesting, I liked the topics covered & do believe she made me change the way I think about a lot of things!

I will buy the physical copy someday and give it a reread :)

These essays will not change the way you think.
This collection of listicles has a handful of interesting ideas, but certainly not 101.
It is also almost uniquely applicable to a millennial woman who has recently gone through a breakup, with consistent references to some unfulfilling ex.
Weist’s best ideas come from the quotes she takes from others, even as she fails to interpret them for her readers.
The one star is for the one good idea, identifying the difference between fear and ambiguity.
Would not recommend.

Just had a hard time holding my attention. When I thought essays, I thought there would be more of an essay structure, but these were a lot of lists, so it felt like 101 lists. There were a few that stood out to me, but a lot of it felt a bit general and not entirely interesting to read.

I was listening to the audiobook, and honestly, it felt like someone was just reading me some random inspirational listicles off the internet.
