4 stars. This was absolutely adorable. I loved it from beginning to end. It’s fake dating which is my catnip and I adore Jae’s writing. The characters were fantastic and I loved the way their relationship developed. It’s a slow burn. Claire and Lana are such likable characters.

Claire is a psychologist who was recently dumped by her fiancée. Lana is an actress and Claire hires her to be her fake girlfriend so that she (Claire) can get her relationship self help book published. It starts off kind of rocky. They are polar opposites. Claire is an Ice Queen (*dolphin noises*) and stuffy to the max whereas Lana is a free spirit and very much the sunshine to Claire’s grump. It was so good. Their chemistry was incredible and I loved watching them fall for each other for real. The ending was perfect for them. This was such a romantic and light hearted read and I’ve put in my Comfort Reads folder on my kindle to read it again in the future.

Such a good and sweet book! The circumstances were wild to me but I liked the fake dating to real love trope - it was so well executed here! I liked how fleshed out and real the characters felt. It was nice to know both of them outside of their relationship, it made the romance just that much better for me because of it.
