this one did not work for me for reasons that I have already commented on in previous chapters but mainly I just could not give a fuck about most of the new characters and therefore the book was soooooo slow to me (reflected in how long it took me to finish it) I do however give enough of a fuck about the other characters to ACTUALLY finish the book despite the problems I found with it

I honestly really hate how Anne Rice writes. It is hard to follow what she is saying, who is talking, and in the first chapter it took me until the end to realize it was Marius not Lestat. She is both too descriptive and not descriptive at all. Her husbands poems have no meaning. It reads as if she doesn't have an editor.
