It was very slow and predictable. Good story line, but have read much better from Danielle.
I still love her books after many years of reading them.
Not very interesting book! I also read 'Property of a Nobel Woman' which also wasn't that engaging.
So one of the prompts for the 2020 PopSugar Challenge is "A Western"...
Which is how I came to pick up this book. I'm thinking Country=Western but not so much with this book. I'm still going to use it for that prompt because I don't want to go in search of another Western but in my mind I have made peace with it.
Next, this is my first Danielle Steel book and I have honestly always been curious but now I think I'm good with never reading another Danielle steel book again.
Multiple things bothered me:
1. They all have horrible morals and decision making skills.. normal for her books?
2. She couldn't seem to pick a point of view. Sometimes things were told from Stephanie, sometimes Chase, sometimes Michael, sometimes Sandy...etc. etc. Now if you write a book and want multiple POV it should be a clear distinction (like separate chapters). Not just smack dab in the middle of a paragraph.
3. I'm now convinced all the characters in her books are shallow and "Woe is me" even though they have shit loads of money.

Really enjoyed this book. Couldn't put it down. Haven't read a Danielle Steel book in ages, so this was a nice change.

I actually really liked this novel. It was very good. Storyline is so amazing
I debated between 2 and 3 stars on this one. The storyline had promise but fell a little flat in terms of content as well as keeping me engaged. I wish the whole storyline had been as strong as the ending.
