Erikson is brilliant in the 5th volume of the series. Clever backstory which does an excellent job of centering the main tale. I love the philosophy, especially the brilliant juxtaposition of debt and slavery.

Really enjoyed the book, even though at the start I was not thrilled about getting a backstory of someone from book 4. That said, the story was gripping and the interweaving of character threads was outstanding. The ending left a few things open which I cannot wait to see where they lead. This whole series is just wild, in the best way possible.
