Definitely one of the best book I've read this year.

Every rules are worth bookmarked, it did changed my perspective, it literally changed my life! I was going through emotional phase when I pick this book and I am glad that I made that decision.

“The quest for Love changes us. There is no seeker among those who search for Love who has not matured on the way. The moment you start looking for Love, you start to change within and without."

This book. *chef's kiss*
Elif Shafak said, let's talk about love, cynicism, friendship, human interaction, religion, faith, spirituality and grief, all at once and delivered it beautifully.
No wonder this book is celebrated to the level it has been at this moment. I loved the way we delve so deep into each subject that it feels really personal. This visceral sense of knowing that by the end of this book, i could be smiling or sobbing, and i was somewhere in between. The beautiful way everything is depicted lends so well to the flow of the book that you fall in love with everyone in this.
Ella, a mother of three children from Massachusets, America, takes on a job a literary assistant to read and submit a report on a new novel "Sweet Blasphemy" written by Aziz H Zahara. It's a story about Rumi and Shams of Tabriz, a story of finding oneself through love and companionship, finding God and spirituality. While reading the manuscript Ella herself goes through a life changing journey within. To say the least, this is a really well written beautiful book. I am in awe and cannot say enough about it. In the current political scenario i think this book can bring many together rather than tear is apart❤️

I loved this book. I could not put it down. I loved how the author writes from different perspectives and mixes an old story with a modern one. I enjoyed learning about new cultures and new words. It is an amazing tale but with a deep meaning. I highly recommend it.

I found this to be an astounding novel; it’s not that just that Elif Shafak made the story of an Islamic scholar in the Middle Ages so profoundly fascinating but she changed my perspective of Persian poetry; love and spirituality all in one.

Other than the character of Ella which I found a bit too Eat,Pray, Love for my taste (and trust me I am well aware of and hate the denigration middle aged women’s experiences, it’s more her lack of uniqueness and moral inconsistency I found problematic), I cannot fault this. Elif Shafak is a powerhouse that just amazes me how she can write just so many well-researched and well-written novels that this being my fourth novel of hers and not a dud amongst them!
