Smiles and joy on every page! This book was witty, heartfelt and full of glittery sparkles!

The story is all about the importance of living life as your own person and forming relationships that nurture.

"One thing I've learned since then is that life can be delicate and frail, but it can also be full of colour and wonder. You just have to let it in."

A reminder to not travel through a grey and dull life through fear of what others will think, but to embrace it - the people who embrace you back are worth keeping in your life.

". . . Pride is all about family, both the ones you're given and the ones you make."

And the illustrations are adorable - I can imagine how spectacular they would look if they were all in colour, based on the inside cover illustration.

In the second half, the plot did become a little repetitive; the search for the children seemed to go round in circles for too long.

But still four rainbow, glittery, sparkly stars!

Adorable is all I can say! Truly adorable and a joyful read.

It’s cute and very important as well. However I did find the story way to convenient for my liking and it lacked a plot for me.

I really enjoyed this audiobook and the story. I especially loved the cake comparison and I will definitely use it in the future. Really enjoyed the representation and the audiobook.

I can only say that I really wish I would’ve had this book as a child. The joy, love, fun, acceptance and adventure in this book shine through from start to finish and just make you smile non-stop. It’s incredible to see these kinds of children’s books being published today and it makes me incredibly excited to see where the next generation will go, having something like this to guide them early on!
This book will change kids’ lives!

This book was an absolute delight. I love middle grade books and this one was amazing. It was so wholesome, moving, heartwarming, joyous and INCLUSIVE. The representation in this is so well done and I loved every minute of this book. It dealt with so many topics so beautifully: family, coming out, separation of parents, education around LGBTQIA+ rights, friendship, love, acceptance. I ended this book with tears in my eyes and am so glad that this wonderful book is out there for children (and adults) to read, cherish and promote!
I highly recommend this one!
