I love Samantha Irby's voice and humor. After a few days of reading her book, it's hard not to think in her voice and entertain myself. I read her other book We Are Never Meeting in Real Life first, and I think I prefer more cat stories to recipes. Nevertheless, I loved reading this book, and I hope more are coming soon!

Read for my first book club in Tulsa! Funny, but not 100% my cup of tea. Since this is her first, I would be interested to see what changes for her throughout her life with the other books.

Samantha Irby never disappoints. It's so funny to read this though (written before she started dating her now-wife) and be like, "girl, PLEASE, think about it! men are not for you!!"
Graphic: Cursing, Fatphobia, Infidelity, Sexual content, Death of parent
Lots of uncomfortably detailed descriptions of feces because she talks nonstop about her Crohn's Disease
This was just fun, and funny, in an "am I wrong to be laughing at other folks misfortunate?" way. This collection of essays often had me chuckling out loud, and while not uniformly great, there was plenty to enjoy a lot. An incredibly funny, crass (in the best way possible), in parts sweet but always honest book.
