Not the best written book. Chapters are short, and relationships are not given enough time to feel authentic.

It was a fast paced and entertaining read, if reading about tracking down a serial killer can be referred to as entertaining. I enjoyed all the science and related computer modeling discussions, but the plot is improbable and so over the top. Written in such light hearted tone, the author didn't do proper justice to the true crime novel this book could have been. This author and his writing style are not for me.
Interesting premise with an intriguing main character. Didn’t love the book, but it was enjoyable and exciting. I wanted to know more about the “killer”.
What an interesting protagonist! Theo is quirky, both intensely smart and intensely focused, and just a tiny bit creepy. I will definitely be reading more of this series soon.

I enjoyed this book and the different element of a scientist searching for a serial killer. It just felt a bit rushed towards the end and finished really abruptly.
The story kept me interested, but the author couldn't get me to buy the science. There were way to many things left hanging at the end of the book. I don't know if I liked it enough to continue with the series.
Interesting premise that quickly goes downhill.
As others have mentioned, starts out promising but goes downhill pretty quickly after the first half or so. The story starts to turn in to something incredible (as in literally, not believable) and just gets worse. It felt to me like the author was rushed to find an ending. There are many good parts of the story, interesting characters, a plot that draws you in, etc, but it needs a lot more work to tie the thing together in a palatable way. I didn't feel a connection to many of the characters, not enough development. Huge plot holes. No backstory on the main villain. Ridiculous medical situations. Etc.
I read mostly literary fiction and true crime.
