The author’s book When We Cease To Understand The World is one of my favorite books. This new book gave me some real gut punches, and I was already dealing with COVID and a death in my family I don’t know that I could review this book without ugly crying so I am done.

I am shocked how much I loved this story. I would recommend it to anyone really, it’s a fascinating history but to me it is really more about pondering life in a modern and rapidly-changing world.

Less of a horror novel than Labatut's previous book, but arguably more frightening in its implications for our future.

This book isn't really a book I would normally read but it wasn't bad. Its a book that makes me want to know more but I also found myself confused and getting a headache from all the sciences and mathematics being discussed. I think someone who has previously learned about these people or understands the projects that they worked on would more thoroughly enjoy this book.
