I kind of went into this one with low expectations. Not that I thought it would be bad, but I wasn't expecting it to knock my socks off. And I think my initial assessment was probably spot on.

Piper meets her neighbour Gabe after his dog ruins her breeding business. What follows is them forming a friendship which turns into more.

I thought the relationship between Gabe and Piper was fine, but to be honest I'm tiring of this insta-love/insta-connection in romance books. Wouldn't it be nice if just once, sure both parties notice the other is attractive, but doesn't feel that means they have to pursue this other person. Wouldn't it be nice to form that wonderful friendship first then change their view. It didn't bother me overly much in this book but I really didn't love it.

In any case it was a perfectly fine read but I didn't connect with it - so 3 stars it is.

Destiny Came Knocking is standalone book but also part of the Snow Valley Romance Series. In it, you will meet Piper and Gabe. At first glance, it doesn't seem like they will start off on the right foot. Then things happen and they eventually get closer to one another.

Of course, the drama came and shook up their relationship. Instead of talking about things, assumptions were sort of made and they went their separate ways. Luckily, he ended up parent trapping her (in a ways) because he shows up to where she was going because he flew instead of drove. It was kind of cute.

In the end, I liked these two and ended up falling in love with the kids and the dogs.

This book had the trifecta of goodness, dogs, romance and adorable children! And it still managed to angst it up in parts. I LOVED it!
