As this book showed up, there was no surprise I wanted to read it. After the ending in White Hot Kiss, I NEEDED to see where things went after that.
Of course JLA did not disappoint. She brought the same collection of my favorite characters back (we all know which one I was DYING to see!) and she even introduced some other characters that I'm sure will pop up in the last book! As for the older characters, I wasn't really impressed with them. How they could do something like that I'm not sure, but it really doesn't seem right. Anyways, I really love the way JLA keeps incorporating so many paranormal figures into this world. It makes it exciting and keeps it fresh. The same old paranormal creatures aren't around doing the same old thing they always do all the time.
Now let's talk about the obvious love triangle. We all know I'm not a huge fan of them, but when you have two amazing guys like Roth and Zayne, sometimes a girl needs help. And this is the reason why I love this one. Not because Roth is a super hot demon, or because Zayne is a sweet talking Warden, but because this love triangle actually is there for a reason. The news was announced that JLA will let her fans decide who Layla ends up with. This gives us a chance to actually have some kind of say in it and it means that in the end, there will be a clear boy she chooses! No trying to decipher on our own! I thought this was pretty cool. It really shows that JLA can really write anything. The person who wins may not be the direction she originally wanted the story to go in, but she promised she would give the fans what we wanted. Well done JLA, well done.
This wouldn't be a JLA book without all the twists and turns. And this one had many of them. Especially the end. I really was blown away. I really didn't want that to be the answer, but when i finally sat and thought abut it, it finally made sense. Waiting on the next book now will be torture.
I don't want to say too much about the book for fear of spoilers, but I really enjoyed this one. Not more than the first, but it was a good one.In the meantime, be on the lookout for when I start my Vote ROTH campaign. Because I will be president of that fan club any day!

Guys! This book! You should know that White Hot Kiss is one of my favourite reads of this year. Also my favourite JLA book to date. Obviously I couldn't wait to get my grabby little hands Stone Cold Touch. Especially after the ending of WHK. Than before the release JLA throws out that she doesn't know who Layla is going to end up with, so she's leaving it up to her readers. WHAT? What a unique idea; letting her readers decide. So obviously that meant that Stone Cold Touch was really going to throw Zayne into the mix. Which is fine, but really didn't matter to me. There will only ever be one option for Layla. Roth. Roth is just perfection. #TeamRoth
SCT sees Roth come back with some very unsettling news. Turns out that everything that went down, even Roth sacrificing himself, didn't completely stop hell from seeping into Layla's life. Layla also finds her powers evolving and changing. She's finding herself even more of an outcast among the gargoyles. It also doesn't help that Zayne has finally noticed that she's no longer a little girl.
I still love Layla. She's really growing up and becoming more sure of herself. Her life is all over the place, clearly, she's still scared about what her demon side could do to the ones she loves. But that doesn't stop her kicking-ass. Zayne is the good guy. He's handsome, whole and nice. And if Roth wasn't in the picture I totally would have fallen for Zayne. There just isn't any competition. This is also a case of being to late. I feel like Zayne has really only taken notice of Layla because of Roth. He's had years with her. His motivation for wanting Layla just doesn't sit right with me. I have no doubt he loves her. Just not as much as he probably thinks he does. Nor in the way she deserves. But Roth. *sigh* Okay, Roth had his jackass moments(he's a demon prince after all). There were times I wanted to punch him for pushing Layla away even though it was obvious that was far from what he wanted to be doing. He clearly thought he was doing it for her own good. His inner turmoil was real. But I never wavered from knowing that even for a demon, Roth loves Layla completely. His actions never matched with to his words. I will forever and always be #TeamRoth.
I really think that this trilogy is JLA at her best. The dialogue is so snappy and organic. Not only does it give us Roth(swoon), but also Layla. And really all the other characters are fantastic. JLA really knows how to write a paranormal romance that gives its readers every aspect that we could want in a paranormal romance. I may have guessed what was going to go done/be revealed at the end of of SCT but that didn't stop me from gasping(I was really hoping I was going to be wrong). Needless to say, Every Last Breath is going to be an explosive series ender.
Oh, and guys, Bambi gets even more epic this time around. I could use a Bambi in my life.

Oh goodness this was so wonderful. I love everybody. And Zayne grew on me a lot but I'm still team Roth. Hot demon forever.

Can't freakin wait for Every Last Breath

Mengesampingkan romance yang lumayan kental dan explisit, aku suka dengan fantasinya yang sangat menarik untuk diikuti. Plot twistnya juga lumayan mengejutkan....

Gak sabar nunggu terjemahan buku ke-3 nya 😹

*4.5*
I just personally feel like I cannot manage to write a coherent review for this book because of all the feels. If I were to try and write a review for this it would most likely end up just gushing about my love for ROTH! I also feel like my review would give too much away because I just want to basically discuss this book, but thats not helpful to people who haven't read it yet. So I will try to do my best to shortly sum up my thoughts on this book!

I absolutely love Jennifer L. Armentrout's writing. It is youthful and the dialogue is sassy and true to teenagers! I do not at all think that this book fell into the second book syndrome category. Although I did not like it as much as the first one because of the lack of Roth (I am not that much of a Zayne fan). There were some exciting twists and shocking moments. There was also a load of some great swoon worthy moments! Layla really shows some growth and is become a strong female lead (not that she wasn't before this book). Bambi and the hell kittens make a return as well as Layla's awesome spunky friends! The book was fast paced and gripping. It had me on the edge of my seat (well that is until I accidentally saw the last page and ruined it for myself) and wanting more! I cannot wait to find out what happens in the third and final book. I also heard that Thumper makes an appearance and I can't wait.

Overall I am sorry I could not write up a better review, but this as well as the previous book are really worth the read if you are fans of Jennifer L. Armentrout, paranormal romance and/or swoony men !

4.5 estrellas
Necesito el siguiente libro ahora.
Eso. Ni si quiera puedo escribir una reseña decente por lo book-drunk que estoy

This book was a torture and not a pleasant one. I can't even count times when I wanted to toss my phone out of a window.
I'm taking down two stars: one for uncomfortable as hell triangle, second - for the main female character.

Triangles suck. In this book triangle sucks million times harder. At some point I've really thought that they'd end up having a threesome because of Layla's inability to decide shit. Zayne/Layla parts also made me want to throw up every time. I don't know if it was Team Roth in me talking but these parts made me groan so much. I was okay with Zayne in the previous book, but here he was such a turn off.
Roth also made me kinda disappointed with all this noble idiocy stuff.
All in all, I was so done with this stupid triangle that I wanted to scream at Layla something like SCREW GUYS GO FOR STACEY.

Besides talking about Layla's inability to decide things, I want to point how FREAKING OBLIVIOUS SHE WAS. Your friend has changed. He became so different it was uncomfortable for you. You know why people were starting to act THAT differently. AND YOU DONT EVEN HAVE A SINGLE CLUE, YOU'RE NOT EVEN SUSPECTING HIM. God, it's so frustrating.

First book was pretty good. This book - not so much. I'll still be waiting for the final one because the plot is interesting.

Team Roth all the way though. If the endgame is Zayne/Layla I'll be outrageous. Please Jennifer don't make me regret picking up this book.

This book is amazing for me. The last plot-twist was so soo great. I definitely love this books.

So holy crap plot twist!! um I need the next book asap. And well here's my confession, I am a MAJOR Zayla shipper (I mean like I ship it so hard I'll be reading that impala makeout part over and over) but I'll honestly understand if Rayla is endgame. I feel like they just given more period? I'm not mad I just see it. I stan Zayne so much that I really want him with someone who can give their all to him. So yeah but anyways really enoyed the book & I'll be looking forward to the next one!
