Heavy: listening to this (on Audible) was a sobfest. The book was not as enlightening as I had hoped. Having finished it, I think I'll take a break from my "on mortality" reading binge. In this book, however, the author mentioned several books I can consider, if and when I choose to continue binging, starting with Tolstoy's The Death of Ivan Ilyich.

The end by Lucy is just the saddest.

Not sure if this helped or worsened my existential crisis that is my life. I feel so conflicted yet so understood. So fearful yet so accepting.
I’m grateful to be able to have read this book.

I read this book because my wonderful girlfriend mentioned she read this a while ago and loved it. Of course, this comment inspired me to pick it up. My plan was to read it, find out why she loved it so much, see if I could find pieces of her in the pages, annotate it with my own thoughts, and then gift it to her.

I did exactly that. Unexpectedly, I fell in love with this book. I closed this book with tears streaming down my cheeks and infinitely more grateful for the love and health in my life and the lives of my loved ones.

This book reminded me how sacred love and life is.
