I think this was supposed to be more "you're not broken just because you want something different" vibez but it often came off more like "I'm not like other girls" vibez which I'm not into. The core characters are supposed to be realistically flawed but by the end of the book I couldn't bring myself to root for anyone. I was annoyed at each of them for a variety of reasons.

I especially disliked the end including
the heart eyes for Ezra when she literally JUST says goodbye to this supposed great love two paragraphs before. It made all these love and relationship revelations the FMC has fall flat for me.

This book is like a cocktail, you thirst for more because it's good, but as you reach the end, it will crush you. The story doesn't just cover Zoey's bad luck bridesmaid experiences but also talks about her journey to forever, the importance of friendship, and, most importantly, self-acceptance.

I am entertained by the way Zoey narrated her pov, which is often sarcastic but in an amusing and witty way! Plus, the banter was so good!  One of the reasons why I enjoyed reading this is because of Zoey's relatable character and journey. I guess the song I DON'T NEED A MAN by PUSSYCAT DOLLS was meant for her lol!

Unfortunately, my enthusiasm was slowly going down when I reached the rear end. I was rooting for Rylan and Zoey! My pure heart was so happy for them. Rylan is the kind of guy you've been waiting for your whole life; how can you not like him?! He's practically perfect! I don't want to give away too much info, but I just didn't expect the twist at Hannah's wedding.

I would love to give this book 5 stars, but because of the ending, not that it's bad. I was just really disappointed and hoping for more y'know. But then, it was really fun reading this.

I adore books about weddings, so I’m always quick to jump on any rom com with the words “wedding” or “bridesmaid” in the title. My boyfriend thinks I’m trying to drop hints, but honestly I just love the romance of weddings. I think it makes for an amazing story setting, and it’s one of my favorite sub-genres to read about.

To be honest, around 75% I wasn’t sure if I would end up liking this one. The beginning felt like it rushed through Zoey’s background as the Bad Luck Bridesmaid instead of going into depth about funny wedding stories. I felt like I didn’t really know Zoey that well, since we just got the quickest overview of who she was. I also wasn’t feeling the choices Zoey was making in regards to her relationship.
The last few chapters brought it all back for me, though. Zoey exhibited such growth throughout the book and really was able to come into her own and be proud of who she was. She made the choice that was best for her, instead of what was easy in the moment. I was really proud of who she became by the end of the book, and that made the iffy middle portion worth it.

I love some good character growth in a novel, and Bad Luck Bridesmaid certainly fits the bill.

I loved Zoey's character. She was so real and well thought out. I thought Bad Luck Bridesmaid was a cute and overall fun romantic comedy. It was a phenomenal debut for Alison Rose Greenberg and I am excited to see what she comes out with next!
