This book is amazing such an amazing story of how life is now with kids who need love and that one person who is willing to give it! Life can be a roller coaster but there is always that one person who can capture your heart!!

I've always been a fan of Danielle Steel since I was reading my moms novels years ago, so when I saw the latest book by the author, and that it was on the top books on Amazon, I wanted to read it right away.

Blue is the story of a beautiful boy and a woman named Ginny Carter who cross paths one fated day. Blue has found himself homeless in New York, discovered by Ginny one cold night in New York. Ginny's life has changed since losing her husband and 3 year old son to a drunk driving accident, and has found herself at the end of her rope with nothing left to live for. That is until she meets this beautiful boy. Their relationship slowly evolves one Big Mac dinner at a time until they are filling each other's lives with the things that were missing.

For me, I found myself waiting the entire book for the big catch. It was very predictable and saccharine sweet, nothing left to the imagination. So if you like the sickly sweet feel good book this is for you!

3.5 stars. I miss looking forward to reading a Danielle Steel novel... The story of this one was pretty good. I enjoyed Ginny's story more than Blue's, though I did feel bad for Blue and everything he went through, you'd have to have zero compassion not to. As with the last Steel novel I read, the ending was extremely lack luster for me. What happened to Ginny and her sister being completely done with each other? Sure, they could have made up but after the fight they had? It would have been nice to see that.

The writing is clunky and repetitive but I didn't want to throw it away (which I literally did with the last Steel book I read). A better story than most of hers I've read. Not something I would have picked for myself, but it was mostly okay.

This is a sweet story, the kind that makes your heart warm. It was a quick book about Ginny and who she is now in New York vs who she was in Los Angeles. After the death of her son and husband, she left her job and moved to New York. She changed careers and traveled for an SOS group. On the anniversary of her husband and sons death, she came to the conclusion that she had enough of life. On her way to the river, she came across a young boy, who was homeless. She formed a bond with him and it grew into a relationship neither of them imagined.

Rating: 3.5/5

Been awhile since I've read one of her novels. I used to be a big fan, but time and exposure to many other authors have tempered my enthusiasm for her style. I'm done with her for awhile longer.
