I really really enjoyed this. I read it in between other things in things and it stayed with me during each pause. I swear there is a little bit of Agatha in all of us, spy pants and all. And oh my word - the mothers FB group was all so familiar. Painful and painfully funny, lots of character growth and more depth than I could have expected.
While I eventually liked Agatha Arch in the end, I felt that she was mean and nasty for much of the book. She was also neurotic, suspicious, and spiteful. Of course, most of this was a defense mechanism for her.
I also think this book tried too hard to be funny.

I bought this book in a “Black Friday kindle Sale” whim. I thought it would at best be entertaining. I have been absolutely surprised. I LOVED IT!
I usually read heavy subjects (aka “The four winds”)- I was looking for a bit of a change. While this book still provided a heavy subjects to contemplate (adultery & it’s results), I was still entertained by a narrator who was outrageous, sometimes an asshole, hilarious, & many times completely relatable.
Within the first few pages she finds her husband in the shed having sex with the dog walker, chases them with a hatchet, then proceeds to chop the shed to smithereens with that hatchet while the nosey moms of the neighborhood drive past taking pictures to post to Fb. & all I could think was “You go girl!”
If you are a fan of “Bridget Jones Diary,” “Eleanor Oliphant…,” “Where’d you go Bernadette,” “A man called Ove”… then you’ll love it.
Solid 3.5. Was entertaining and funny. There was goats and yoga and I almost got to the end of the book thinking they were going to miss out on the chance to do goat yoga but no the author didn’t disappoint! For fans of stories about women dealing with mid-life crises and neuroses. Think Where did you go Bernadette?, Eleanor Oliphant is completely fine, Evvie Drake starts over, Big little lies (though not as dark), and The Class Mom series all rolled into one. I enjoyed the hilarious spoof on the joys and hells of mom groups (at times they can be equal parts judgey and supportive but it’s always good to have friends that get how tough life can be). Overall I would recommend it for a light and fun read.
Loved this. Agatha's fears, while extreme, are relatable. She is nasty but loveable, and a hilarious, delightful woman scorned.
This was a sweet book that made me laugh out loud. Agatha Arch is trying to get through life after she finds her husband having sex with the dog walker in her shed. Agatha is the hilarious and cynical mom voice we all read (or are) on the mommy Facebook groups. Through friendship, yoga, goats and a romantic fling with a man with a cold, Agatha finds herself and finds peace. It's a cute book that's the perfect book to listen to as an audio book.
