This was a good entry in the series. I’m glad that the one character who’s previously been a vehicle for fart jokes gets some depth in this book. I also liked that the third act conflict felt actually meaningful, compared to in other romance novels.

I just absolutely adore this series. It was so nice to see Vlad come into his own character after just being the scapegoat/coming relief in the other books. He is the absolute sweetest and biggest teddy bear of a guy.

A lot of the issues between
Vlad and Elena were just an issue of not talking to each other about their problems which is honestly a super annoying plot point to me. I really loved seeing how they finally started working things out together instead of just holding each other at arm's length and being stubborn.

Also does anybody else wish that every man in their life would read these books? Letting men, and extremely masculine ones at that, being open, vulnerable, and willing to talk about emotions is so helpful and I think it's important for guys to know that's okay! It's normal!

Anyway I absolutely love this series and if we're lucky enough to get another book, I want it to be Colton's 🤞🏻.

not gonna rate this because, to me this series is barely real. but leaving a review on this one because it is SUCH a ginormous pet peeve of mine when authors who do not speak a language have their characters speaking the “language” that they only write out in english. like babes… its not ur business then! so other than that, i did not care at all about the weird military book he was writing, and i dont feel like including the passages added anything to the story. that being said i did enjoy the chemistry between these two characters a lot more than the first book. i wish the book had more sexy over all, and like a lot of other readers, i wish that the feminism in this book had any more nuisance that made it believable as dialogue, and that it was not as often delivered in chunks in the book by the “wise” only black character with a name LMAO. did not understand her weird crime ring thing, like i felt that got way too much page time and it was so dumb
Spoiler that she ends up being kidnapped by her godfathers henchmen
like its simply did not fit into the ending of the book and i think brings up questions the author is not prepared to answer in her english language rom com. anyway did i kind of eat it up? mostly! there were some leftovers on the plate tho. really glad the shit jokes were limited to the prologue i will say that. also wtf was with the cheese thing… so many parts of the story that i felt could have been dedicated to.. anything else at all or..
Spoiler alone time between the couple who fucks at 70% but also haven't spoken in 6 years /-:

also need the audiobook narrator to be persecuted for CRIMES
