This book was hilarious and ridiculous and just a great time.
I was really excited to read this per Lauren Conrad's recommendation, but I was really disappointed. I found myself wanting to read it though. I think it was to see what bizarre thing would happen next. The characters weren't fully personified for me, and I felt there were some holes in the story. I found myself reading and getting bored and not remembering the last paragraph or two because of how off the wall it was. I thought the end would be better, but I was left feeling like the whole book was a bit lame. I'm not sure how Bernadette had her epiphany, and that really bothers me.
I don't know how to update dates -- I actually read this back in 2017 and it blew me away. Tastes are subjective, but this was one of those "once every ten years" types of discoveries -- a book that drew me in so completely, that understood my story so wholly italmost felt as if my life was being flashed back at me. I still think about Bal quite often...
Surprised the rating is only 3.9! I'm on a mission to fix that!

Such a quirky book comprised of emails, faxes, narration, etc. A mild thriller/ crime as the mother disappears and her daughter goes searching for her.
This book was a lot of fun! Fun and fluffy without being vapid.
