super intéressant et vraiment bien écrit. j'espère que j'aurais jamais à vivre ce qu'elle vit (avec les nouvelles de guerre).

This is the next book in the series inspired by Judith Kerr's life. This one covers the majority of the war and its impact of the family and the rest of the country. The themes in this book are much more mature than the last one but it centers in on how to find your place in the world especially when the country you live in is a war with the country you were born in. I enjoyed reading this and hearing her different thoughts on how every member of her family was struggling and succeeding with different things.

I read When Hitler stole Pink Rabbit when I was still at school so it's only taken me over 20 years to read the second in Judith Kerrs semi autobiographical works! It's such a wonderful glimpse into life in war torn London and how it was for a German refugee at this time. Such a privilege to be allowed into this world.

Well, I just found out this was a trilogy and I read the second book. Apart form that I understood everything and the book was really cute. The second wold war it's something I'm quite interested in so I really liked the way the descriptions were made about a day in the middle of the war or the descriptions of London.
It was a very calm book beside the obvious fact that they're in a war and I really felt identified with Anna.
The only part I didn't quite like was the romance, I was expecting something a little different and I didn't like the result.
