it was way too long. like if it had ended 200 pages earlier i would've been happy
This was the first Avery Keelan book I read and WOW, absolutely LOVE her book! The story, the characters YOUR writing absolutely obsessed!
College sports stories are in my top favorites for romance to read so I had high hopes for this series, I try to go into all my readings blind so I dont accidentally give anything away and im beyond glad I did with this story. It didnt take long to realize this was definitely going to be a 5 star for me and I knew I would be reading it from cover to cover in one sitting — it was that good!
Chase and Bailey were AMAZING! They were enemies(not really)- to friends - to lovers; sort of fake dating to piss off her a-hole ex. Absolutely HE falls first and he falls HARD! His man is gone for her; he’s protective to a fault with her, beyond sweet and understanding with her. She is beautiful, smart and fire cracker when she needs to be. Their story had twists and turns; chemistry out the a** and the depth to these two characters is unreal.
I personally loved the length of this story, I know sometimes people dont like lengthy romance stories but with this one I was sad when it ended. I definitely could have kept reading about Chase and Bailey. There wasnt a single thing about this book I didnt love, everything down to the tiniest little detail was perfectly paced and felt beyond real; at times I completely forgot I was reading a book it I was 100% engrossed into their world.

i feel like this kind of book just isn’t my cup of tea - it was my first hockey romance and maybe my last, at least for a while. it was a good book, it could have maybe been a few chapters shorter, but overall pretty good. i think i’m just missing the morally grey man, but chase was like real life sweet

If this book had been cut in half and was less tedious, I would have rated it much higher. There is one character that grows immensely (mmc) while our FMC remains stagnant in her character traits. This is definitely one of those tmi books. If you want to put that much detail into it, spread it out. It’s the one time I would happily applaud for a series. Instead I was just lost in the bog. It took me wayyyy too long to finish this one; I’m talking months.

Don't even. I'm completely obsessed with Chase and Bailey.
First sport heavy romance and I could read a million books on these two.
The quotes, the writing, everything. Character development, side characters, tension of hockey games.
I could seriously reread it a thousand times over and over.

Not going to rate it because I didn’t finish it.
Overall, the writing was okay, but the book was just WAYYY TOO LONG for me. I felt like the plot wasn’t moving anywhere and I was literally just reading the daily comings and going’s of these characters lives. Needed a little more editing imo.
