My Summer Fling

Dana Isaly

3.9 AVERAGE

This was my very first ARC from Dana Isaly and I must say, it did not disappoint!

The history and tension between Noah and Millie was so good. It was a great, short, spicy love story between two childhood friends. The progression of their story coming back together felt a little rushed but overall, I loved it!

i was really excited getting into this book, and while i loved some parts but at some point i found myself getting bored or irritated. i felt like Noah was too immature up until the letter and i wish we saw his growth more. and i truly found myself being more interested in the side characters (Roman and Tiffany) then i was with the main characters, idk i just felt like this was a bit bland for my liking. also usually i don’t mind grammar/writing mistakes but this had quite a bit of them that at certain parts it was confusing trying to understand what was happening, for example in one scene Noah was saying that someone was calling out for Noah and that he left the table… but Noah was still at the table and later on i realized that it was Teddy being called out for. another thing that was confusing was Theodore (millie’s brother) being called Teddy all of the sudden… like when did his name switch. idk i feel like this needed some more editing. but i can say i liked the spice, and the candid photos Noah took of Millie.

Kinda Emotional

If you've ever been the person to cry when angry and holding onto pain for a lot longer than you should, you'll understand why Millie acts the way she does. If you've ever been that person and you've grown and learned from those traits, you'll be happy to see that Millie is coping too and turning into a better person after it. She's dealt with a pretty big trauma from Noah and this story definitely delves into those hardships while still holding the spicy scenes well and they don't feel out of place or forced.

I absolutely loved this story! Millie and Noah had a falling out 9 years prior and decide to have a summer fling with no feeling or attachments while planning her brothers wedding. These two were so freakin hot together and their journey was so sweet. I loved how much we got to see their relationships grow. Noah’s dirty talk was everything and the spicy scenes were

Ohh Dana has done it again.
This is a fun hella spicy new book from Dana. With all her usual fun and banter.
"So text your little f**k boy, cause I refuse to share" ahhh yes!!
This is an enemy to lovers so has all the fin that is watching them fall for each other. And the supporting cast is fun too. Hoping for more books!!

okay… i can see where this book was going. i hade hope. all hope was lost

honestly this book was atrocious and i only give it two stars because it’s not the worst thing i’ve ever read but i’m not sure how it has such a good rating.

This book feels like it was written for wattpad by an 8th grader. the grammar is awful and the descriptions in a lot of the spicy things made me cringe so hard.

i’m sorry but i would not recommend this.
