Really enjoyed this one ! I loved Madeleine! She was awesome and I love how she didn't lower her standards or morals. She stuck to her guns and fought for what SHE wanted in a relationship. Adam was a great character too and I loved being in his head.

I felt that the ending was rushed a bit but I thoroughly enjoyed this story !

Madeleine feels like the fuck up of her family. While her brother is a married doctor, she's on probation at work, lives in a crappy appartment she struggles to pay and has been single for way too long. When her small puppy Mouse turns out to weigh more than her and tears down the cute stranger that turns out to be the new vet, Dr Adam Foxe, Madeleine is discouraged. Adam moved to Hamilton after her fiance of 5 years cheated on him with his best friend and doesn't want to get into a new relationship. However, he can't resist Madeleine and Mouse's charms.

I love the fact that we get Madeleine and Adam's POV. While I wanted to shake Adam at the beginning and Madeleine at the end, I enjoyed their banter and the way their relationship progressed from friendship to more. Adam's family was adorable and I loved that we get a bit more of Daisy and Lucas' relationship. The added element of the dogs was adorable and the conflict wasn't too dramatic as to be unrealistic without feeling like everything was resolved instantly.

I don’t know why I don’t read more from this author. The few that I have read, I have loved. And this book had me rolling! (Just read a few of my highlights).

It doesn't deserve to get 5 stars but I'm giving it anyway because of Mouse. Well aside from some unlikeable characters in the book - Diane, Daisy, and let's be honest, Adam, I find this one light, adorable and funny.

Pretty fun romance, but I expected a bit more of it.

Okay, this one wasn't horrible but it was far from great.
First, I relate a lot with the situation Madeline is, she's lost and unsatisfied with her life and she wants to change, but she doesn't really make any efforts to change! She is just mediocre.
And Adam is kind of rude half the book, I didn't really like him.
What saved this book: dogs.
I don't thin I'll be reading any of R. S. Grey's books anymore.
