Review: This book was character development based, but it still has a thrilling side plot. Once the spice started, it didn't stop, and it was so good.
Angel is by far my favorite character. He is the bear you'd choose over the gross men out there; he is huge, mute, and has a bigger heart than anyone.
The starting chapters were an emotional setup and I wasn't sure what to believe.
It is imperative that you read Noire Moon prior to Macabre Gods.

Macabre Gods does such a wonderful job at giving us a great story, where our characters not only have to work through their own traumas but help each other and others that come their way through theirs as well, and also giving us plenty of spice that will leave you begging for more. I was so far from disappointed reading this and will keep thinking about Poe’s journey through Noire House for so long. Please make sure to check your trigger warnings and enjoy the pleasures of Noire House ✨

Elliott Rose!! You beautiful human, you have done it yet again!! I can always count on Elliott’s writing to give us a juicy, steamy story. Macabre Gods is a Dark Why choose/ reverse harem and the second novel in the Port Macabre series. Poe, Angel, Grey, and Hawke were so hot together a cold shower was needed! The spice wasn't the only thing that was off the charts, the plot was meaty and full of mystery. I loved this book and ran right through it.

The Port Macabe series is composed of interconnected stand-alones and is designed to be read in whatever order you choose. Noire Moon is a prequel to Macabe Gods, the events within these two books occur before Vengeful Gods. A huge thank you to Elliott Rose and Luna Literary for the opportunity to read this as an ARC!

*While not necessary, reading Noire Moon novella prior other this full length novel will give extra insight to the characters prior to the novel*

Posey (Poe) spends one night being captured and loved by 3 mysterious masked men and when she thinks they've finally come for her, she experiences dark times at the hands of men within the secret society with dark and Devious intentions. But her 3 masked men are close by and while she feels like she can't trust them, she can't stop the pull from their first night.

I absolutely loved Noire Moon novella and couldn't wait for more but I had no idea where more was going to take me! I don't want to give too many spoilers other than check your trigger warnings because the novella is tame compared to the full length novella. I absolutely loved how Hawke, Grey and Angel take care of each other as well as Poe. They'll do whatever it takes for each other and to take down the scum of their secrets society. I've heard so many good things about Elliott's Crimson Ridge series and Vengeful Gods so I can't wait to get to the rest of her backlist!

Tropes:
✔️ RH (and her 3 boyfriends are all boyfriends)
 ✔️ Secret Society
 ✔️ Breeding (without the consequences)
 ✔️ No Kissing Rule
 ✔️ Don't Wake Her Up
 ✔️ Yes, Sir
 ✔️ I Want to Watch
✔️ Burn The World For You

I read Vengeful Gods last year and absolutely loved it. Because this book was so similar to VG (similar characters, similar relationship dynamics, and a similar premise overall), I kept unconsciously comparing them while reading. Unfortunately, this one just paled in comparison, and I was left disappointed.

The spice was spicing, but the plot left me wanting more and I almost did not finish reading this because, honestly, I was bored.

I personally didn’t like how the MMCs treated the FMC and basically used her right after she went through something really traumatic.

Maybe this one should be the first book in the series since it happens before VG?

I received an ARC of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review. Receiving ARC didn’t affect my opinion of the book.

Firstly, I’d jump in front of a bullet for Angel, and I’d do it gladly. Not that he’d let me. He’s too protective…aah swoon.

Now that the important part is out of the way let me say that I loved Poe and her men. Grey, the unaliver with a filthy mouth liked to poke and prod at people. Hawke, the man in charge who secretly moonlights as a vigilante and Angel, the stoic silent giant with a marshmallow heart. Only for Poe though, and maybe Grey.

A secret society where pleasure and kink rule. The three men have been asked,(forced) to initiate Poe and they realise that maybe they don’t want to give her up. The journey they go on is an entertaining, smutty good ride. I was on board.

Thank you to Elliott Rose and Luna Literary for the arc and this is my honest review.

Another amazing why choose dark romance from @Elliott Rose. This time following Poe, Grey, Angel and Hawke.

There are some standout characters in this book again - Poe, Grey and Angel being the ones for me.

I adored Poe as a FMC. She has experienced so much trauma throughout her life and is manipulated by everyone at times in her life. However, she continues to be so kind and thoughtful to everyone but she isn’t a push over either.

Elliott Rose writes some really good MMCs but Angel and Grey were 👌. I love a dark and tortured man and these two are the epitome. They are so sweet to each other and give Poe exactly what she needs 😉🥵.

If I had to pick out of the two in the series, I would pick Vengeful Gods as my preferred but it’s a very close call and this story is sooo good.
