Plot dreht sich wenig um die Beziehung an sich, passiert eher so nebenher. Geht relativ schnell von 10 auf 100 gegen 2/3 des Buchs

Keep This Off the Record is a hilarious, somewhat dual romance, with quirky supporting characters and a lot of chutzpah. I really liked both sets of romantic interests with Freya and Abby, and Will and Naomi. Becca (Abby's sister) and Riley bring a mountain of levity to the story. We get Abby and Freya's discovery of their feelings thanks to some sneakiness by their friends, but it's fade-to-black here so don't go in expecting a lot of spice.

Naomi and Will's drama is the biggest part of the plot, and sometimes it overshadows the main romance. I also wanted way more of the internal struggles that Abby and Freya were going through, and more direct interactions between them in the interim between their enemies to lovers statuses. It felt like the story went too quickly from hating each other to being head over heels. But overall it's light and fun, with most of the more serious drama tempered with a big dose of crazy humor, and worth the read.

Bit confused as to why this is advertised as a SAPPHIC book but spends more time concentrating on the straight couple than it does the actual sapphics 🙃

and maybe it was the narration but I couldn’t tell if Freya’s bosses name was ‘Brian’ or ‘Ryan’ cos I kept hearing both lol

The book starts off slow but does pick up. It's about 3/4 of the way through the book before you figure out who the story is about. I love how the cast of friends is diverse and makes a point to use the correct pronouns. Sometimes you need loose the love of your life to understand what is really important. All in all, this was a cute book about finding love.

I love a good Shakespeare retelling! I had a tough time realizing this until the scene where Freya is watching the friends on the monitor talking about how “IN LOVE” Abbie is with Freya. I was like
“Ohh it’s Much ado retelling” I hope to hear more from Riley, the horny nonbinary friend of the group who constantly finds “the love of their life”! Riley’s story is a great way to work in more stuff about nonbinary people! I can’t wait to see what Arden Joy does with her next novel!
