So I really wanted to love this way more. Don’t get me wrong it started very well and even throughout was decent but the ending really killed it for me. Just boring and predictable.

I enjoyed the perspectives of the side of the detective and her role and storyline then the other side of the victim and what she is going through and has been through.

Wow, I’m on a roll with really awesome debuts.

This author did such a good job of starting the story strong and getting me so invested in the characters. I absolutely loved her writing and I feel like she has a very talented writing style.

I loved the plot, and it had me guessing until the very end. The only reason why I didn’t get five stars was because I wasn’t extremely happy with who they chose to be the bad guy. I loved that we had so many red herrings though and I wasn’t sure who it was the whole time.

I hope this author comes out with another book soon.

This was overall a good thriller. Some plot twists did catch me off guard but nothing to make my jaw drop or want to throw the book across the room.

A good read.
