Do not judge the book by its cover because it definitely wasn’t what I expected at all. But overall the story was good and I enjoyed the mysterious story.

Marlee came to town looking for kidnappers, definitely not for a cowboy to steal her heart, but what she found was the future that she never knew she wanted and needed. I loved this story every minute and the characters stole my attention every moment of the time I was in it. Marlee is the type of woman that I imagine would make a perfect best friend, strong and driven, intelligent and amazing at her job, but willing to admit when she makes a mistake. Cooper is the perfect foil for Marlee’s driven and focused personality, being so laid-back in life, but dependable and willing to do whatever is needed to keep his friends and family happy. I loved seeing these two very different characters find their HEA together, even when you were skeptical in the beginning that they would get past their first introductions to one another. The passion between them runs high at all times and when they finally let their walls down and embrace one another as lovers, the fire burns hot enough to start a prairie fire. I was thrilled to get the chance to see Cooper, Marlee and their investigative team crack the case and bring down the kidnapping ring, even if there were several heartbreaking moment when we thought it might not end well at all. I am jonesing for the nest story already and cannot wait for the chance to read it, even if it turns out not to be Jace’s story—though I REALLY hope it is. Another Grant masterpiece, undeniably.

**I received a copy of Looking for a Cowboy from St. Martins Press and Net Galley in exchange for a voluntary and honest review. My opinions are mine alone and not solicited**

Looking for a Cowboy by Donna Grant is the fifth book in her Heart of Texas series. This is Cooper Owens and Marlee Frampton's story has premise is illegal adoption of infants without the mothers consent. This has a slow build up to a climatic end where it will lead to a surprise person behind the adoption ring who is a familiar person to her.

Marlee Frampton's life changed with the death of her sister and her premature niece so taken. So she dedicates her life to find her and the other babies who were stolen. She meets Cooper when a lead to a stolen infant brings her to Clearview , TX and Brice and Naomi's new son. It will bring all former H/h together from previous books to solve several recent murders and stolen infants until finally leading to not only a betrayal from her friend but how deep the the ring and stolen babies go even to a government agency.

Cooper Owen loves to help his family and friends when the need arises with his savvy mother invests money he decides to help the town. He never expects to fall for Marlee or help her with her quest to find not only her niece but all the others who were taken from their mothers. Will he be able to give his life when the King pins start to fall and will he finally tell Marlee how much she means to him?

Hopefully the next book will be Jace's as there's a story that needs to be told about him. This book is worth all 5 Stars and more.

Omg, that is really the way to start this. This was dark, ok so the book is not dark, but the thing it touches upon. Damn!

Someone is murdering pregnant women, and cutting out their babies and selling them. I mean damn!

Marle's sister was a victim 10 years ago and Marlee became a PI and is not trying to solve her sister's case, and more. Which brings her to a little town to see if a newly adopted baby is one that had been cut out a week earlier. Again, dang!

Cooper is this super sweet, like awww Cooper, all the hugs!

They meet, she is investigating his friends, I thought there would be more drama around that but omg they talked!! The real drama is trying to take down the evil preggo killing baby snatcher ring. And that drama was plenty and chilling.

I did believe that these two could fall fast for each other, she does have a way of making you believe. Good romance, good drama and suspense.

I have listened to the narrator before and I do like her cowboy books, she does them so well. Great distinct voices and you just fall into the flow of things.

A whirlwind romance with an unforgettably dark storyline that makes my stomach ache for my children and the ones they one day may find themselves having. Marlee has had her life turned upside-down by an unthinkable tragedy that sets her on a new course. That path leads her to Clearview and straight into Cooper Owens path. She did not expect him and is totally unprepared for what she is feeling. In the middle of trying to bring down the murder / kidnapping ring can they find time for a romance that will bring them insurmountable happiness? A beautiful story with strong characters and an evil that they will fight tooth and nail to destroy!

This book was very my original its not a topic I have ever read that I can think of. This series has been so good and you never know what's going to happen next and that was very much the case with this book as well. It was very intense and yet disturbing at the same time. I liked this group of characters and the relationship they have, if you don't have that kind of friendship it make you want one for sure. There was one thing in the end I wish would have happened but, I am sure that this is not the end for this group of characters. There is sexual content and strong language in this book so it may not be suitable for all. This book really did not disappoint it was hard to put down for sure. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

This was so completely unexpected that I honestly don't know where to start. I've not read any of the other books in the series but it appears this could be a standalone read. I legitimately wasn't going to continue reading the book because it was definitely not even remotely what I was expecting, there really should be a little bit more to the blurb and I try to avoid reviews so that I can leave an honest one and not be influenced by others. If you are all put off by suspense and really uncomfortable topics of murder, kidnapping and worse you should stop reading this book right now. I will say that this will suck you in and I read it from start to finish in one day. The characters are well developed there's enough connections to characters who must appear in the other books so I'm assuming they're equally tragedy driven.
This is Cooper's story, he's like the glue that keeps their group together always there to lend a helping hand. After the instant attraction he feels to Marlee of course he's going to want to help her solve the case that's brought her to the area. That's where things get very complicated and I don't want to ruin your read, you've been warned proceed at your own risk.

I have read every single book in this series and it is one of my favourite series of all times so of course, I couldn't wait to read this one.

Looking for a Cowboy is book 5 in Heart of Texas series. I think it is best to read the previous books since you get to meet the couples from the previous books again.

Anyway, I loved this book and it didn't take me long to read it because I just couldn't put it down.

I do recommend this book.
