I always enjoy reading a story by Vi. There is something special about each story. This was a fun new twist on a story. She brings the story to the next level.
The Boss Project is the newest sexy, fun and emotional standalone from Vi Keeland. I feel like I always say the same thing after I finish one of Vi's books. 'The book and the hero are my favorite of hers.' I just can't help it! I fell hard and fast for Merrick! And honestly, Evie too! Merrick is sexy, and intimidating, but soft and mushy on the inside. He's also a total perv and a romantic. The best mix of things! Evie is strong, smart and tells it like it is. She's been through too much to lie to herself or the people around her. The way they meet is freaking hysterical! And then she sees him again when she's interviewing for a job. He wants to hire her because she's not qualified and he doesn't even want a therapist on his staff. She wants to take the job just to prove him wrong. Turns out he was wrong, she's really fantastic at her job and he's extremely attracted to her. But she works for him so he can't touch her. The more time they spend together, the more they want each other. Both of them have exes who really did a number on them so they are leery to get involved again. They have fun together, they laugh, joke and flirt. Merrick smiles more and learns from her how to make his employees happier. They finally give in to their attraction (after they solve the working for him issue :)) and it's crazy hot. They just fit together. Physically and emotionally. But when Merrick's past comes back to get him, he shuts down and runs. Will he be able to tell Evie the truth before it's too late? Oh man, did I love this story! Once I started I didn't want to put it down. Merrick's sexiness and the things that came out of his mouth had me swooning and blushing. They are one of my favorite couples of Vi's!
I am a sucker for a sexy AF kind of broken hero with a beautiful heart, a sweet heroine who needs something and someone good in her life, a crazy bestie and a spitfire grandma so The Boss Project is 100% perfect IMO☺️
The banter between Merrick and Evie is fantastic, their chemistry is sexay but the way they care for and about each other is what makes them great. Add in Will, with his no ducks given attitude, who wants his best friend to be happy again and a the sweet & spicy southern belle Kitty and you’ve got yourself a solid family

This was such a great book!! Just from the blurb I was dying to read it and I loved Merrick and Evie’s story, how at first there was some tension between them but then little by little they started spending more time together and getting to really know each other. Also their interactions and banter was the best and some of their scenes were really fun. Kitty’s scenes were amazing too and I loved her relationship with Evie and Merrick.
Evie was really great, despite of her past she was very strong and she was always determined to help people. She and her sister had a 10-year-gap but they were really close and I loved reading their moments together and how they had each other’s backs.
Merrick was amazing too, at first he was very grumpy especially with Evie but after some time they developed a friendship and he started understanding how great she was. He was wonderful too with his grandmother and I loved that she was their number one fan from the start.
The story is really captivating, Evie and Merrick had been through a lot in the past so it was really nice reading about their stories and how their dynamics started changing. I loved their chemistry and how despite fighting their feelings it was obvious they couldn’t stay away from each other. Also their steamy scenes were the best and they really complemented each other.
I loved how everything worked out for them and how at the end they helped the other heal and overcome their fears.
