I really couldn't have asked for a better ending to the series. This is everything Twilight wasn't: a strong heroine, love, loyalty, and a really good resolution of the whole love triangle thing (hint: there is no sudden, creepy attraction to former squeeze's baby). I envy Cassandra Clare's imagination, and her ability to take us into these worlds so completely.

I couldn't imagine it ending any other way. I have so much love for these characters. I think I went through every emotion while reading this. Amazing story and an amazing end to a wonderfully done trilogy.
What a great way to wrap up a fantastic series. I laughed, I cried, I yelled, and I cried some more. There was a good balance between plotting, action, and romance. I was hesitant to read her other series, The Mortal Instruments, but after finishing this storyline, I can't imagine NOT reading her other works.
This one dragged on a bit too much in the first half and I struggled to feel the same way about the characters as I did in Clockwork Prince to begin with, the second half picked up (however with still the same amount of politics that made it drag slightly) and eventually had me reduced to a crying baby much like the second book. The epilogue hurt but it left a well-rounded ending that I was happy with.

Cassandra Clare wrapped up the trilogy perfectly, while also leaving room for more (aka The Last Hours)! It felt like there was a new plot twist every other chapter and every single second of the book was so interesting. I'm glad we finally got to figure out where Tessa comes from and how she's related to all of the Shadowhunters.
Jem's death was actually the worst and even though it was bittersweet, I'm glad he became a Silent Brother and that they still treated him as the same old Jem. Jessamine's death was also really sad, I was hoping she would be able to redeem herself a bit more :/
OMG the Lightwood brothers! The character development these two had was amazing and they honestly became some of my favourite characters ever.
The relationships in this book were all so perfect. I'm not usually a fan of authors putting every single possible pairing together, but I loved them all, especially Gabriel/Cecily. It was also nice to have the epilogue to know that most of the characters ended up ok.
I cannot wait for The Last Hours!!!
