A beautiful book. Probably the best “self-help” book I’ve read. Daring Greatly is a mix or research and lived experiences to support living whole heartedly and vulnerably. It highlights the human experiences that often go unspoken like shame, guilt, and how hard it is to be fully vulnerable in a world full of judgement.
I read this over the course of 6+ months both because it was so good and because it was so hard to go there/see the ways I’ve been avoiding vulnerability in my own life. Highly recommend.

Brené Brown really likes to beat a dead horse with the Ted talk she gave like 14 years ago. Each book she’s written has the same stuff in it and still not any in depth explanation for what she did to get her ‘research’. I also got the distinct impression that she doesn’t care to follow her own advice on addressing shame which to me makes any expertise she has invalid.

Love her. Love the normalization of the struggles we face with shame and ideas of how to overcome them.

I read this book as part of a book club, and I have to admit that I was skeptical going in. I seldom read self-help books. However, I had seen Brene Borwn's Ted Talk and been impressed by what she had to say.
This book really inspired me. I found myself not only receiving insight from Brown, but also thinking of specific changes that I wanted to make (and am now making) as a result. I'm very happy we read it.
