Those who feel compromised and unhappy. This book helps you see how the emotion of shame limits your ability to be vulnerabl. Vulnerability allows pepole to connect with othersin meaningful waysand giv s depth to our relationship.

I have heard of Brené Brown for years now but finally got around to reading her and she did not disappoint. Of course now I want to read all her other books too. Inspires me to be a better person, more shame resilient and more whole hearted.

Brene brown always manages to speak directly to my soul. Just a couple of the many highlights for me:
- expecting the worst does not actually prepare you for that horrible outcome. It only steals joy from the moments you could have spent content and happy.
- Parenting is not about knowing all the right things to do. It’s about being the adult you want your kids to grow up to be. Mic drop.
- Who we are and how we engage with the world is a much stronger predictor of our children will do than what we know about parenting. Are you the adult you want your child to grow up to be? We must be what we want our children to become.

Hands down the best book I have ever read. My life is forever changed because of Brene’s research and wisdom.

“Daring greatly is not about winning or losing. It’s about courage.”

A timely read for me - that said, if you’re not in the right frame of mind to read this book you won’t make it past the first few pages (I know because I tried 6 months ago).

If you ARE in the right frame of mind, though, it’s an engaging, honest dive into shame, vulnerability, and why we feel so shitty sometimes but how we can learn to face those shitty things and instead come out growing and being authentic versions of ourselves.
