It has been a pretty long time since I last read this book and I don't think I will be reading it again. Not because I didn't like it as you can understand from my 5-star rating. I won't read it again because it used to be my favorite book when I was in elementary school. I think I read it like at least once every month, for 5-6 years. I loved it with my whole being and when I couldn't decide what to read, this book would be my go to every single time. It would save me from reading slumps as well as help me escape my horrible family atmosphere. I would imagine Mr. Fox being my dad and doing anything in his power to help his family. The selflessness Roald Dahl wrote into the character was enchanting. I have a very emotional bond with this piece of literature which is why I'm scared of going back to it. I don't know if I will love it as much as I did back then, BUT I keep recommending it to everyone I love and I would recommend it anyone reading my overly emotional review. It could change your life for the better too, who knows?

Mr Fox steals food from local farmers to feed his family, but when the farmers tire of Mr Fox's theft, they surround his home and wait with guns to shoot the clever fox. Now he is trapped in a hole with his family with no farm birds to eat.
Mr Fox isn't motivated by his greed and led astray by his hubris and he doesn't have any character flaws.
