The book was more like 10 short stories. I liked some and thought some were forgettable. The author did a good job at providing background knowledge while telling the persons story.

The man trying to save Japanese food: 5/5, Loved the history of soy sauce and learned a lot.
The most romantic job in Europe: 4/5, Sweet story! Feels like it could have been a movie. He reconnected to his mom and found the love of his life from letters to the tree.

I am not sure if I would recommend the book, but I defiantly would tell someone to read a few of the chapters.
