Clementine is very ADHD coded. It is beautiful to read about her mind and the beautiful future she could one day have.

I liked it. It had the humor of a Junie B. Jones book, but with a little more heart. It also made me remember just how differently children can view the world.

The setup for this book is my soft spot--a child with a big imagination whose inner world isn't fully understood by the people around her. Clementine is hilarious but the book and the character both have a heart. This one would be a lot of fun to read aloud.

Read to Isabel: 3.5 stars. Went looking for a Ramona replacement and this gets there in some ways. Funny, sweet family with really relatable good natured parents that love their daughter who’s full of hijinks. It was VERY front loaded with hijinks that got pretty exhausting but there were moments that made Isabel lol and it eventually got to a more full, heartfelt, believable place by the end which made me hopeful and Isabel excited to read more books in the series.

Clementine means well, but her attempts to help others out are a bit destructive. Take Margaret's hair for instance. Clementine noticed that Margaret had been on a bathroom break for quite a long time. She asks her teacher permission to go to the restroom and finds Margaret sitting on the bathroom floor with a chunk of hair cut out the side of her head. Margaret got glue in her hair and so she cut it out. Clementine tries to help Margaret even it out but it just gets worse, so finally the girls decide to cut all of Margaret's hair off. Off course, Clementine is blamed for this and her attempts to improve the situation for Margaret make things worse.

Clementine is a younger version of Anastasia Krupnik and much more adorable than Junie B. Jones.

2-3rd grade.

I really liked this book while I was reading it, but thinking about it after, it felt sort of jumbled and I didn't feel like it all came together in the end. But still, I LOVED Clementine the character, and would recommend this book as a fun read. It would be perfect for second or third grade.

My four year old daughter loved this story. We have already checked out another one in this series to read together. That’s a win in my book =D

Oh my goodness, Clementine is so endearing! I love her quirkiness and creativeness. It was great to read a character who has a hard time concentrating. I thought the story was fantastic and had a beautiful message of family, friendship, and love!
