The pacing was really off, and both the world and the magic system poorly explained and underutilised. Nothing much seemed to happen, and the characters were more frustrating than anything else. A shame, but this didn't work for me.

Almost 100 pages in and I’m bored out of my mind.
FMC is annoying. I read 100 pages of just being in the girl’s head and being told she’s feeling guilty non freaking stop. And all the MMC has contributed so far is a bunch of smirks and arrogant one-liners. Zero personality.
I normally don’t read reviews before starting or while reading, but I had to know if this gets better. Looks like it doesn’t. Slow as hell pacing and plot until the last 10%?? No thanks. Apparently the romance is underwhelming and underdeveloped. WHAT DO YOU MEAN THE TWO ARE BARELY TOGETHER?? You want us to believe in their romance? Okaaaay.
