DEAR BABY JEE-ZUES! I am obsessed with anything C.L. Rose puts out, but she absolutely outdid herself with this one! I love me a baseball player, but give me TWO?! HELLS YEAH!
Arden, Jackson, and Hawke are absolutely FIRE!! They were such a great read, like the spice was incredible (top tier!), but the HEART of them was so good too!
Arden is brought to Daytona by her pro volleyball career, & she needs a place to stay at first, so enter Jackson & Hawke. She and Jackson are childhood friends, alllllmost more, but then their parents married when they were in HS and now they are step siblings. Jackson and Hawke are teammates & best friends, & who are complete opposites in their bedroom personas ;)
The dynamics between the three of them are great! Not only their individual relationship dynamics, but when the three of them are together, it's electric! They all have their "hang ups" and things to work through (my baby Hawke, break my heart sir!), but they ALL help each other grow and become even better people.
I won't give it all away, but I absolutely loved this one and already can't wait for a reread!

Hmm, I flicked between 3 and 4 stars, but I think it's more 3.
Some good moments, some made me smile and feel giddy which is fun, but some scenes in the second half I was like "alrighttttttt I get ittttt!!! can we move on with the plot already", + some small things bothered me
A spicy why-choose, sports romance (baseball and volleyball). As I don’t read the why choose and step-sibling tropes often, I thought they were well written and respected in this story. Also-I am invested in this series and did wanted to see both Hawk and Jackson get their HEA- a satisfying conclusion for them for sure! This was a romance where emotions were front and center, showcasing that sometimes you have to put others wants and needs before yours first but also not giving up on what you want.
Thanks to the author and Wordsmith Publicity for the eARC.

<strong>4.5/5! I really enjoyed this story </strong>
Omggg, I loved the soft/hard aspect of their relationship, but I am a Hawk girly through and through. Ugh I love that man.
I loved the depth of all of their relationships, you could feel how much everyone cared for one another. And the spice was freaking hot
My only thing was I wish there was more volleyball scenes with the guys there! I originally started this book (after reading the first two) from some promo for the release & as a volleyball player myself, I was so excited as I haven’t seen a ton of romance books with it! I loved the big scene, just wanted a bit more

Double Play 🥵 friends. That is all. That is the post.
Tropes:
⚾️ Baseball/Volleyball Romance
🏐 Why Choose (MFM)
⚾️ Step Brother and His Best Friend
🏐 Secret Relationship
⚾️ Soft Dom/Hard Dom
🏐 They Fall First
⚾️ Cinnamon Roll MMCs
Arden is drafted to a Florida volleyball team. Luckily her step brother and his best friend own a decent sized home, so she can move in until she can afford her own place. Jackson has been in love with her for years, but felt like he couldn’t do anything about it since their parents got married. His best friend, Hawk, has been into her since they met, but he’s sussed out that Jackson is in love with her, so he’s kept his distance. When Hawk breaks down though, he comes up with a way that everyone can be happy….
These three…the spice and the banter was so good. Hawk comes off as this hard, tough guy, but he really is the sweetest. He does so many awesome things to help Jackson and Arden’s relationship. The explanation of his tattoos 😍 I also loved Jackson’s character. He’s caring and wants to do right by Arden.
🌶️🌶️🌶️
Thank you, CL Rose and Wordsmith Publicity, for sending me a copy of this book!

Double Play by @authorclrose ARC from @wordsmithpublicity 🩷
5⭐️ two boyfriends? Spectacular, I’m in there like swimwear. This was such a fun read!! I loved our 3 main characters, Arden, Jackson, and Hawk. Each of them had their own story and experiences, but together they had their missing piece. Like each person was able to fulfill the other’s emotional needs and vice versa and honestly that’s the beauty of their dynamic 🖤 this book tackled the reality of living with anxiety and panic attacks, and damn if I didn’t identify with Arden in those faraway, lost moments. She was able to learn coping skills, go to therapy, and open up to the people who loved her. That’s why mental health representation matters so much, because taking that initial leap to get help is terrifying, but so many millions of us go through it. The spice in this book?! CL Rose 👑, babe you dropped this. Literally if you’ve read any of her books, the woman drops the most panty scorching scenes. Plus, if you’ve made your way through the Blizzard boys and the prior Fury books, you get the best crossovers and lil breadcrumbs throughout. Loved this book, and I’m so thankful to @authorclrose and @wordsmithpublicity for the chance to get an ARC 🖤🖤 Double Play is out now!!!!! ⚾️

Spice: 🌶🌶🌶🌶
I absolutely LOVE this author! I have not read 1 bad book from her yet. C.L. Rose will keep you interested from page 1 all the way to the end. She is by far one of the best spice writers, and she's always out doing herself on the spice. You think that she can't outdo herself from the previous book, but she always does. This is the first MFM book by this author I've read, and oh wow, was it hot, dirty, and oh so amazing!
Tropes:
⚾️ MFM Baseball Romance
🏐 Professional Volleyball Player FMC
⚾️ Grumpy MMC/Sunshine MMC
🏐 Step-Siblings & Stepbrother's Best Friend
⚾️ Soft Dom/Hard Dom
🏐 Anxiety Rep.
Arden has just been drafted to the first US Volleyball team in FL. Her family has decided that she'll move in with her stepbrother, Jackson, and his teammate/best friend, Hawk. She is such a strong FMC. She's dedicated to her passion and loves hard just as much as she works hard.
Jackson has loved Arden since they were kids. He is such a sweetheart and loves to call her a "Good Girl." He is the sunshine Soft Dom. He finally takes his shot with Arden and knows that his best friend and roommate, Hawk, wants her as well and won't stand in his way.
Hawk is the quiet, tattooed, bad boy. He's super grumpy and is the degrading Hard Dom. He has it bad for Arden and wants to be with her. He also doesn't mind sharing her with his best friend. He may come off as grumpy but will do anything in the world for those he loves.
The relationship between these 3 main characters was a thing of beauty. I have trouble being with 1 man. Maybe I need 2, lol. Seriously though, Arden is a lucky girl and gets the best of both worlds. These three had chemistry that was so well written. I've not read another MFM romance that was written this well. C.L. Rose wrotes this book perfectly. The spice was a chef's kiss 🤌💋 A must-read for sure.

HOLY WHY CHOOSE HOTNESS
CL Rose seems to outdo herself with every book and Double Play was no exception.
I haven't read much why choose but this one is definitely the best I've read. And I didn't expect it to make me as emotional as it did. I legit was sobbing at parts, learning more about the characters and what they've gone through. But also the banter was amazing and the spice left me panting.
Jackson and Hawk, two amazing men on their own, but them both loving Arden together makes them out of this world amazing. They're opposites and give Arden the best of both worlds.
