If Candice writes it, I’m going to gobble it up and gobble it up is exactly what I did! This story was so special! Broken boy Hawk, and step-siblings Jackson and Arden! I loved the connection they each had with each other and how they were different but all on such a deep level.
I could feel the emotional connection that Candice wrote between everyone on a deep level and it took the reading experience to another level. One thing about Candice’s characters is that you’ll never forget them and I’ll absolutely never forget these three.
And the spice? Candice slays every time!!

I don't know what to say other than Candice has OUTDONE herself, just like she does with every book she writes. I am in love with Arden, Hawk, and Jackon's story.🥵 I don't know to how put into words how excited I am to reread this one (and I only reread my absolute favorites🤣)
Jacks has been in love with Arden since they were little, and he was going to admit his feelings, until he found out that their parents were getting married (talk about a unfortunate situation.) He has been hiding his feelings for so many years, thinking that he will never be able to have what he truly desires.💔
Arden also has deep feelings for Jackson that were never brought to the surface, because they would be seen as wrong. After moving in with Jackson and Hawk to be closer to her new position on a professional volleyball team, it becomes harder to keep her feelings to herself.
Hawk has been through hell. Having grown up in a hard family situation has taken a toll on his ability to open up to others. After becoming his best friend, Jackson helped to show Hawk that he is a good person and deserves good things. But Arden starts to actually break down his walls.
These three connect on a level that brought me to tears multiple times. The spice is off the charts (as Candice always give us.) The banter is just perfect. The spice is amazing. The tattoos, the connections, the necklace, the longing, the pining... I could go on forever; I am just in awe.
To Candice: thank you for giving us these stories that just have so many levels. They are heartwarming, spicy, heart wrenching (in a painfully good way,) and just what we all need. We love you!

Once again C.L. Rose did not disappoint! I absolutely love this series and was so excited to read this third book! MFC, Arden, is a professional volleyball player and is extremely dedicated and determined in all aspects of her life. She’s such a BA! MMC, Hawk, is the grumpy dominant who loves degradation. He’s got a bit of a past and doesn’t open up very easily. MMC, Jackson, is the golden retriever who is so encouraging and supportive. He also just so happens to be the MFC, Arden’s, stepbrother! Yaaaasss! I adore how the three of these characters develop over the course of the book and how they support each other collectively and individually. They mesh so well! Candice really said, "I'm going to make you feel every emotion possible" with this book! I don't want to spoil anything because it's so worth going in blind but the way C.L. Rose makes you feel what her characters are going through is truly a gift. With every one of her books you know you're going to get her signature banter, spice, girl gang, found family, swoon, frustration and so much more but you never expect the plot twists and how attached you'll become to the characters and their story. The bond Hawk and Jackson had is truly special given Hawk's past, and they way they both easily fell into a relationship with Arden because of all their connections was so sweet. That's not to say they didn't have their fair share of trouble, but it was worth everything in the end!

This book was some firsts for me. My first MFM and my first stepsibling romance. Overall I enjoyed it. It was entertaining and I learned some things, LOL. FMC Arden is a professional volleyball player for the Florida Flare and our MMC’s Hawk and Jacks are baseball players for the Florida Fury. Jacks is Arden’s stepbrother, but they’ve had unrequited feelings for one another for a majority of their lives. Hawk didn’t have the easiest home life growing up and he has developed into a dark and broody man. He and Jacks have been best friends for many years. Hawk also fell for Arden upon meeting her the first time, but out of respect for Jacks and his feelings, Hawk never did anything about it. That is until Arden becomes their roommate. After some delicious tension Hawk and Arden CONNECT and soon after Jacks stumbles upon Hawk and Arden and things escalate from there. Arden and Hawk both dealt with anxiety and the author handled this topic well. The author also handled the topic of Arden, Hawk, and Jacks disclosing their relationship to their family and friends and the potential fallout from that disclosure well. There was a bit of a third act breakup, but that too was well done.

C.L. Rose can definitely bring some crazy, sexy, hotness to a story and this series has been smoking hot! I am a huge fan of women athletes getting their spotlight in books (and real life) and I loved that Arden was a volleyball player, which I think is a sport that doesn't get enough attention. Coupled with some sexy AF baseball players and this book is a dream!
