I hate this whole series because of Mathew. He's the literal worst. The rest of the story is good. I like the lore.

Reread - first time listening to - honestly I have such mixed feelings about the series, I like the vibe, the atmosphere, the aesthetic but it’s so long it feels like filler

It took me a while to really get into this book. Overall it was a decent read but a let down considering the build up from the first two books.

I loved this book! The whole series is great! I won't give anything away, but if you love vampire/witch books, and historical fiction then this series is for you. I love how the author weaves (hehe) such a intricate story. Her historical details in the second book are so spot on. I would like to know how much is "true".
The only thing I thought was missing was they kept talking about an inside spy and I didn't feel like that was fully resolved. I know that Gerbert and Peter Knox were kind of fulfilling that role but I felt like the author alluded to someone closer to the family as the spy and I was hoping to reveal someone, like Phoebe or Linda the witch.
Loved this book and want to read more along this line. :)

this book has absolutely no fucking point
