I FINISHED IT!!!! I finished it!! I finished it. T_T Nooooooooooooooooo. I want to continue reading about Diana's and Matthew's time together. But I did not want it to end. All good thing much come to an end. I also wanted to read about their children and family more. I love this series. It is one of my favorite series that I have read. Loved how Book of Life picks up off the end of Shadow of Night. Some characters I love: Diana, Matthew, Sarah, Rebecca, Phillip, Jack, and a lot more. Some characters I hated to the point where I wanted them to die: Benjamin, Gerbert, Satu, and Knox. With two of them I got my wish of them finally dying. *Happy Dance* I would highly recommend this book to readers who like history, witches, vampires, daemons (not demons), magic, time-travel, over-protective lover/husband, and family (hope these words kind of describe good :-) ). The series does start slow but in the long run it is worth it.

Yup, I binge-read it and thoroughly enjoyed it. Not as much dramatic tension in this book as in the first two, but I was okay with that. I was actually glad to see Diana handling the crises with more confidence and common sense than usual, so a little character development there cut down on the suspense a little. Still, I found it a mostly satisfying end to the trilogy.
I really liked this series. I did find it extremely annoying that the main character went through many, many bouts of stupidity. I didn't find those moments exciting or suspenseful, they just pissed me off. I felt like there were many scenes and chapters that were there just to drag the book out and make it longer.
I was disappointed in the ending. There were too many huge plot points that weren't resolved. I'm not sure if this was intentional for further books, or if the author just got bored and couldn't figure out how to wrap everything up, and just ended it.
That being said, I would still recommend this series. They read like a movie. I wouldn't be shocked at all to see them made into films in the future.
