Audiobook. Mid but not bad. More like 2.5 stars but whatever it’s not like anything he said was wrong, his voice just wasn’t fully reaching me and he was touching everything superficially. But maybe that’s a consequence of the books short length? I’m beginning to notice the patterns in these teachings, crossovers between different therapeutic approaches, how they all work together and share similar foundations, which is awesome and affirms that I’m learning something true and real. And it works. I like his version of the pause method: pause and take deep breaths, ask yourself is this thought helping me or making me suffer, understand that you have a choice, say your mantra that thinking is the root of all suffering, and experience emotions without judgement. His way of analyzing self destructive behaviors mirrors exposure therapy which is interesting and cool. Short and sweet.

This had a couple good analogies and enlightening stories but felt mostly repetitive and honestly didn't have much I've not already thought about. Self help books are also just not my cup of tea I think.
