I really enjoyed reading this book! It is not a book for everyone though which is why it’s only 4.5 stars as I wouldn’t recommend it to everyone I would be select in who I told to read it. It was very well written with twists and turns that kept me as a reader on my toes without loosing the core of the book! I can’t wait to read more books by this author!

Did a book’s ending ever make it hard to fairly rate a book? I am not saying that the ending was terrible, its just that…well, I just didn’t like it. Which stinks because up until the 95% mark of this book I thought it was rather fun. I was whipping through the ending because I wanted to finish and then BAM, that “twist.”

It was a fun story; classic chick-lit, light read that is easy to whip through. I liked some characters, I hated some characters (which you were supposed to). But obviously meh about the ending.
Charlotte’s dating life is non-existent. She stumbles upon a podcast “Sorry Not Sorry” that will challenge her to go beyond her comfort zone and open up more within the dating scene. Each episode is a series of challenges which she will embark on (or at least try to).
Like I said, super light and fun concept. I was jiving with it, I just didn’t understand the ending. Please don’t confuse this with the ending being confusing: its not. I can’t explain without giving it away – and I try to be spoiler free – so I will leave it up to you to decide.
It is a cute beach read if you are looking for one. I want you to read it so we can discuss it. You can tell me you agree with me, or that I am overthinking it and to stop being so serious.
So, if you read it already let me know!
I received an arc of this book from NetGalley for my honest review.

I got this one as a gift for my birthday, and when I started reading it, I realized that I wasn’t as interested in it as I thought I would be. Therefore, I downloaded the audiobook version and started listening to it so that I could at least say that I finished it. Only then did I realize that it was a really good book after chapter 10 or 11. Did not see the ending coming. Completely swept me off my feet. Would I recommend it though? I’m not sure. But it was a really good ending and I am proud of the character.
A millennial-girl boss and her journey to her inner queen - and to Mr. Right
Sorry not Sorry by Sophia Ranald (Dec 2018)
Charlotte is stuck in a rut and would love to put some spark in her dating life. She loves her job, has great friends, but is missing a man. She happens upon a podcast, Sorry not Sorry, and starts to take up the challenges. Charlotte finally finds a man that she can feel excited about, but everything is not as it seems in her world.
Charlotte has to navigate office politics, insecurities when it comes to her new boyfriends, and dealing with some misunderstandings with her friends.
I liked Charlotte, she is an interesting character. The conflict with her friends seems a bit unnecessary. If she and Maddy were really that close, why did they not talk about the issues right from the start? Instead each one didn’t want to upset her friend, and things got a bit out of hand.
Tansy, one of Charlotte’s new housemates, is a great addition to the story. Adam is a bit of a mystery, though we learn more about him towards the end of the book. Miles rubbed me the wrong way right from the start, it was hard to like him.
This story was fun and funny, and I really enjoyed it. It started out a bit slow, but after a few chapters I couldn’t put it down. I would recommend it for a quick, light read.

This was a very enjoyable read for me. While it wasn't as funny as I was expecting it to be based on the summary provided, there were quite a few funny moments. I really liked Charlotte, the main character, as well as her new friends. I did dislike how for a while it seemed like Charlotte just could not win; it seemed to be one thing after another. This could make it more relatable, I guess? I'm not sure since I couldn't relate to her.
Overall I thought this was a fun, quick read. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a fast, lighthearted book.

A fun book by an author I’d never read before. It was a mystery book purchase for a reading challenge prompt. Not (for me, at least) the “laugh out loud” romantic comedy that the cover proclaimed, but still thoroughly enjoyable. I guessed most of the plot twists in advance, but not the big one. Well-rounded characters who were interesting and engaging. I really enjoyed this read.
