The pacing was super weird and they should have cut out the whole merchant business, queen wanting her to stop a rebellion, and everything with Tristan should have been cut in half. The last 75 pages were really interesting though.
Honestly, I think I loved this book more than the first one...and I really loved the first one! This story is a great continuation from the first book, and keeps the reader captivated the entire time. In this book, we are provided with more romance too (and spice)! I really look forward to the next book!.

This author took the word slow in slow-burn too seriously, which is making me suffer!!
This second book is better than the first one and I devoured it! I loved every single page and the MCs have all my heart.

Every time I think I can’t love Rhyan more, he proves me wrong. He is by far the best character in this book and I can’t wait to read his book!
Two things that bothered me, one was that the first 10% was basically a recap of what happened in the first book but the author (thank you so much for this by the way) already put a “previously in this series” at the beginning of the book so I found it redundant. Two… Lyriana

I was a little frustrated with how little happened in the book in terms of the main characters' growth, but I'm still hooked. Some of the twists were easy to spot, and the amount of time it is taking the two main characters to come to terms with their feelings for each other is maddening. Overall still super interesting and I'm sad about having to wait for the third.
