This is a gorgeous little book that casts a light into a somewhat obscure moment in history. I love the premise and the writing is beautiful and evocative, but I didn't connect to the characters and struggled to get engaged especially early on. IDK yet how I feel about Lisbet's ending, but it'll stay with me for sure.
