Honestly this was better than I expected it to be. It was funny, intelligent and unapologetic, just like Amy Poehler is! I loved hearing about her time on SNL and Parks & Rec and all the snippets about the other stars we love in those shows! She is a firm believer in working hard for what you want and she is a true testament to that! This is light-hearted and easy to read, and I had a good time, so if you enjoy memoirs, I think it’s worth it!
Review 6/11/16: A fun and fast read full of Amy's trademark humor. My only "complaint" is that the book wasn't organized very well, so the stories seemed very scattered at times. I wish they had been grouped into more succinct sections. Some of the humor is inappropriate at times, but it's not bothersome. Other than that, I highly recommend if you're an Amy P fan.
I will start by saying that Amy Poehler is the R-rated version of Leslie Knope. She likes to say F*** and she likes to talk about sex and drugs. She also likes to give real love to her friends, most notably Seth Meyers and Tina Fey. I swore I wasn't going to compare her to the awesome Tina Fey, but I HAVE to. Tina is the nice, mature, quiet big sister. Amy is the show-offy, attention-seeking, loud little sister.
If you are considering reading the Kindle version, please reconsider. Amy includes lots of photos and written documents that are really hard to see on a Kindle.

I found this very interesting because I didn’t know much about Amy Poehler before this. It was kind of fun to listen to on audio because it was like Joy was reading me a book lol.
Some slightly off color comments that I’ll forgive because the book was published in like 2014.
This made me want to watch Parks and Rec, maybe that’ll be my new show to watch while I crochet

Yes, Please by Amy Poehler - (4/5) well written and funny autobiography. Read in Vietnam, 2024.
Very funny, really enjoyed the off the wall, almost structureless writing style at times. Great insight into a person you only see playing characters.
The one downside was the discussions on feminism which aren't up my Valley but still insightful.
Thumbs up.

It's Amy Poehler. It's perfect. And hilarious. And inspirational. What else would you expect?
A little scattered at times but ultimately extremely enjoyable! Highly recommend in audiobook format because there is so much joy and laughter interspersed through Amy (& guests’) reading and conversing. I learned so much about her life and officially want to be best friends with Amy and Seth Meyers.
