Holy crap..
Okay, so The Princess Trials was a big book. Wasn't expecting it to be over 500 pages.. but I also wasn't mad about it either. Confused about a ton of things? Yes, that is actually true.
I won't lie - I have endless questions after finishing this one. It's very hard for me to be okay with everyone wanting to kill this one girl. A harvester. A nobody. Her name is Zea and she is practically the only person who actually has an opinion and cares about other people. Not like all the self-centered robot assholes within this whole princess trials. I was honestly kind of shocked that everyone wanted her dead.. because the reasons why just made zero sense.
Yeah, her and the prince talked and he probably saw her as the favorite. Yet, they all should've realized that they didn't have a chance to begin with. Yes, I'm sure people were conspiring behind the Prince's back and they had the "winner" already picked out before the trials even started. SO WHAT - things got so insane and intense that I'm not even sure who is fully behind all this crap.
Ugh, after that ending I just HAVE to dive into the next book. Just so I know what freaking game everyone is playing. Oh, and I also want Ingrid to die.

The perfect combination of The Hunger Games and The Selection in all the right ways. My only reason for not giving it 5 stars is because I found myself confused by the world-building and descriptions.

I was almost mad at the beginning that this was a rip off of the selection series and hunger games, but there were so many twists and turns and evil people to write down in my burn book that I FLEW through it.

I loved this book!! I read it in like 2 days because it was so good. It kept me on my toes and i was surprised by some of the twists. It has everything you would want from a dystopian romance book.
My only critique is that the author uses the word clad wayyyy too much. Characters are always described as being “clad in” whatever they are wearing.
Overall I adored the book and the characters. I already started reading the next one.

Got a bit boring in the middle then picked up a little. Not strong enough to be a 4 star. Will not continue the series.
Man. This book was VERY interesting. I didn’t see half of this coming, but gosh. So many twists and turns, the author does a wonderful job of spinning the story! It fills me with rage the way the people in the Oasis operate, and I am BEYOND ready for Zea to take them all down.
