Thank you to PRH Audio for a copy of The Wind Weaver. This was a great one to experience on audio because there is a part where a ballad is sung, and it cuts away to the song 🥰. This story has action that starts right away and continues to the last moment. It keeps you engaged while you meet all the characters. Were there times when the MMC was an insufferable prick? Yes. Did I want Rhya to blow out of there and live her life free of hiding her halfling life? Yes. But the premise of the grander story kept me intrigued. Ultimately, it is a great fantasy book.

Over all I really like the plot, this story just feels non stop from the very first page and just keeps going.
The only main negative element, for me personally, was the MMC.
 I didn't care for him at all, I never grew to like him, I just found him annoying and I was really getting sick off him. 
All the other characters I loved, but him... Whenever the plot, (especially later on in the book) would focus on him, I found myself putting the book down, and would feel reluctant to pick it back up. And was having to stop myself skimming scenes between him and the MFC.
I think he's probably a good example of making a character too broody and grumpy. 
He was just a miserable, repetitive, annoying prick.
But apart from him, I really enjoyed this book.
Just could have done without tall dark and miserable.
