I judged the grad school aspects harshly since I’m, like the writer was at one point, a PhD student and found them lacking… or Stanford is just very sad. She takes her pipettes home so other people don’t use them? I wouldn’t even touch the pipettes in my lab without gloves, much less stuff them into my backpack

I truly enjoyed the story.

A bit more background about the MMC would have gone a long way, especially towards the end when we start to hear about how he was as a good through his best friend’s dramatized story telling.

The FMC comes from a quite tragic background, but seems to be badass in her own right.

How the two come together is *chefs kiss* but the lack of communication is a bit unnerving. I would have liked a bit more communication and relationship building, but I still loved the two together.

I hate a third act break up/miscommunication, but the one in this book was short enough that I wouldn’t even count it.

This was an Ali Hazelwood book through and through.

This is one of the worst books I have ever actually seen published and it makes me concerned on the adult literacy rates
